Flash Home
Finally one of the many things that I have been working on has seen a real announcement! It is called Adobe® Flash® Home. Read more about it here.
"Flash Home is a flexible, white-label home screen solution that combines customizable home screens with live data services to provide subscribers with personalized, engaging experiences across handsets." - Adobe
There have also been a couple of responses from the community about this announcement.
"Another solution based on Flash Lite: Flash Home in a white-label home screen solution. You can customize your front screen of your mobile phone not only from a UI point of view but you can feed live data. So you can imagine that brands will love such capabilities. I saw the demo and was pretty cool and would be a perfect fit for MVNOs." - biskero.org
"Flash Home, a new cool product by adobe which enables you to deliver rich, dynamic home screens consistently across a broad range of handsets." - I2fly
"The most amazing feature of Flash Home is the PUSH functionality to interact with incoming calls, sms and mms. If you are a FL developer you can already imagine all the possibilities. Thanks Adobe! ;)" - Luciano Ayres
Well I know I am excited. Both from working on the technology as well as what will now be possible to do in Flash for a mobile device.
Ali Mills on FlashLite 2

Ali says "If you’re someone who looked into FlashLite 1 and quickly turned to run for cover, I don’t blame you. If you’re still taking cover, I want to share what I’ve recently learned with you – FlashLite 2 isn’t bad."
A lot of people have misconceptions about FlashLite because they haven't seen the latest version. He also has an example application; Maybe he will release the example's source if you ask nicely!

Jesse on Invalidation and Flash Player

I have recently been working with, and trying to provide feedback to, Jesse Warden who has had several postings on mobile development in Flash. I feel his pain with trying to find the "sweet spot" for mobile development. I believe it is there, and every day I feel closer to finding it, or maybe I have found it and just don't know it yet. Jesse has a ton of useful thoughts but I don't think he has his conclusion just yet. Check out his post.
